Our Community

When was the last time you felt you had made a real difference to someone’s life?

By attending the annual Hunters Hill Food and Wine Festival you actually do exactly that. All proceeds from the event are donated to selected organisations that provide educational, health and community based programs to people of all ages.

The Hunters Hill Food and Wine Festival is, first and foremost, a charity fundraising event intended to benefit the local Hunters Hill and Ryde communities.

The event is completely dependent on volunteers who plan, organise and run the event. For past two years the University of Sydney Business School sent us between 70 -100 students who act as our volunteer festival marshals. Our volunteers share the same drive and passion to improve lives in our community.

Over $270,000 has been raised over the past 20 years for various local charities. Festival beneficiaries have included: Riverside Preschool, Chris O’Brien Lifehouse at R.P.A., Hunters Hill and Gladesville Scouts, Hunters Hill Ryde Community Services, St John’s Ambulance and many more.

In 2019 we donated a $28,500 to four charities:

Hunters Hill Mayor, Mark Bennett presenting the donation cheques.
